I am very excited to be working with you guys and I look forward to meeting everyone soon and guiding them through this very exiting course! Is this goodbye? Is this the end? We spent so much time together, you have throughly documented all my thoughts and words so well I dont think I want to say goodbye! Well this is the end the last and final blog! ahh My has time gone by so fast! Seems like only yesterday I was on her introducing myself to you. So what have we learned? Well we’ve talked about books, plays, videos, movies. We have blogged about feelings and emotions. Sometimes we cried together, sometimes it was painful to talk to you, but you were with me every step of the way. So is this the end? Lets not make this the end and lets promise to stay in touch. Lets keep this up! I feel like we really connected and I don’t want to lose that. You’ve been great! Aside from assisting me with getting a good grade you really have allowed me to find myself, I really have a new outlook on life and all its trial and tribulations. I really feel the change, this time around I know now that I am and will be great thanks for helping me with that.

I’ll never forget you you’re amazing!!

A New Light (Poem)#28

Feelings change, emotions rearrange sometime we have one idea about something until we explore it and we are wrong about everything. We all go through journeys so that we can learn and learn to appreciate all the things we have in life. We get an education so that we can appreciate a good career. We go through hell so we can appreciate heaven. Thats why I’m looking at things in a new light. I am able to say I’ve been through a lot and I’ve seen a lot yet I still can’t complain everything happens for a reason. It’s not what you go through it’s how you deal with it, and how you make it in the long run. I’m learning that everyday, especially in Marlen’s class, therefore I am grateful for my belly of the whale experiences, because it makes victory that much sweeter.

A New Light #25

So im reading Middlesex, and i’m slowly but surely getting into it. The book is no doubt pretty boring and cliché at first but when you get into it it’s really not that bad. The story has a lot of twist and turns and the characters are rather peculiar but slowly I am starting to dive deeper and deeper into Cal’s world. Its nearing the end of the semester and things are starting to wrap up and therefore I am reflecting on what I have learned. By reading Middlesex, I am starting to dive deeper into the meaning of my own world. I am starting to even find myself in a new light. I am staring to see my own physical and emotional growth. This just makes me more grateful that I chose to stay in this class.

So what have you learned? What did you get out of this experience? This class was truly not for the weak at heart, and for the strong this class only made you tougher. But for the ones who stayed aren’t you glad you did? I’ll continue with Middlesex and I’ll keep you posted on what I find. Although this journey is almost over, I’m so sure that this is only beginning of yet another beautiful journey.

Mind is blank, but always working

Not much to think about because everything is pretty obvious.

I have to become more focused, but it’s so hard to find the motivation.

I have to keep doing work but seriously Im really just sick of it all.

Im sick of books, papers, professors and assignments. Feels less like school

and more like solitary confinement. Someone help me, I need to escape from this prison before I cry.

Slit my wrist and maybe die<–ok not die but you get the point. Right now Im feeling nothing at all because I am so

numb and so done with this all…

So Im sitting here trying to figure out what I should blog about, there is really so much to say and speak about but Im just not sure how to put it….So my feelings well right now I’m stressed, tired and in desperate need of a break and maybe a massage. Im missing my family like crazy, and Im feeling the need to just kick up my feet and do absolutely nothing for a little whie.<—-sounds good right, too bad right now this dream can’t be a reality. Schools kicking my ass, my boyfriend is working on a damn nerve, and im really desperately trying to do well on an Economics test. English 121 is going good, I definitely use this course as an outlet because I am always able to express myself in whatever I do. I guess I am having a belly of the whale experience, but seriously this really sucks right now. Ugh! anyone else feeling the same way? I mean Im a junior but this degree seems to far off. I am going to keep going though because I owe it to myself to excel and do everything I want to do in life. Seriously, I really feel like I am not getting enough sleep at night. My weight keeps fluctuating from the crappy food I’m eating, and I really feel like complainig…ha ha kinda like what I am doing now. So anyways, hopefully things get better for me! Wish me luck guys!

Sex and Gender(Poem #26)

So who’s queer and who’s not? Who’s female, who’s male? These days no one ever really knows what people are. You are living in such a diverse and queer place it’s really hard to tell. Sex and Gender has raised so much conflict in society, there are many people who are defying the ideas of sexuality and going above and beyond and inevitably doing their own things. In today’s society, we need to get back to whats really important about people and thats their credentials and professional characteristics not whats between their legs. Sex and Gender needs to know no limitations and people need to start living in the freedom that our fore fathers work so hard for us to have. Sex and Gender is not just male and female, it’s a movement that should be respected and cherished. All people no matter what make the world go around, therefore we should not shun the queer.

What is the color of friendship…is it purple or grey?

Does it have permanent color or does it vary from day-to-day?

Can there be many colors, is diversity a must?

What makes a friend is it the love, the hate, the problems, or the trust?

Who do you consider friend, can you trust them with your innermost thoughts?

Do they make you feel special, are they kind for the most part?

I’m still trying to figure who really has my best interest, but its hard because they keep failing the test.

I get a friend and I swear that they are true till the shit hits the fan and they act brand new. Friendship is fragile.

So what is its true color. Is it white, black, yellow, or brown…is it the world or only a few people around. Friendship

is sacred and it knows no color, so when you find true friends make sure you hold on to each other.
